Here's a scenic view of the road to the Rohtang Pass from Manali. At an elevation of 13,050 ft, on the eastern Pir Panjal Range of the Himalayas, Rohtang Pass serves as the gateway to Lahaul and Spiti valleys in Himachal Pradesh. Known for its scenic beauty, the pass lies on the watershed between the Chenab and Beas basins.

Surrounded by a cedar forest at the foot of the Himalayas, here's the 360-degree view of the Hadimba Devi Temple, an ancient cave temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, wife of Bhima, a figure in the Indian epic Mahabharata. The temple has intricately carved wooden doors and consist of four tiered pagoda shaped roof, with layers in timber and a brass cone shaped fourth layer mounted on top.

With its quaint roadside stalls and street-markets, shopping is one of the must things to do in Manali. From intricately carved furniture to beautifully-woven shawls to local handicrafts, the shops in Manali have it all. In their free time, the crew and the contestants of Renault India Adventures had fun shopping in this town.

After finishing their initial tasks on the banks of the river Beas near Naggar, the contestants are now headed to Manali, which was once the capital of the Kullu Kingdom and is perhaps the most charming village in the valley today. India Adventures contestants had to cross a number of iron bridges on the river Beas to reach Manali.

Used on ceremonial occasions, the wind instrument 'Karnal', is a large, straight brass trumpet, over a metre long with a prominent bell resembling a datura flower. It is being played at the premises of Naggar castle.

Banks of the river Beas is the location of the first task of the India Adventure series in the beautiful Himachal Pradesh.

In view is the river Beas, which emerges in the Himalayas in central Himachal Pradesh and flows for 470 km before merging with the river Sutlej at the South Western boundary of Kapurthala district of Punjab.
