Lexus ES 300h hybrid sedan is the cheapest offering from the Toyota-owned luxury carmaker in India. Priced at Rs. 55.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) the ES 300h competes in the mid-size luxury SUV space which is currently dominated by Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, Audi A7, Jaguar XF and the Volvo S90.
The ES 300h is a combination of smart and luxurious exterior design followed by new safety, multimedia and connectivity technology. Up front, the car comes with the company’s signature grille flanked by sharp headlamp with twin barrel projector lamps and LED daytime running lights. The alloys look sporty and stylish with the panoramic sunroof adds to the luxury flavour of the car. The cabin features the Lexus Enform infotainment system with a wide touchscreen display, heated and ventilated bucket style seats.
The ES 300h gets a 2.5-litre four-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol motor and an electric motor which produces a combined output of 202 bhp and develops 213 Nm of peak torque. It will run on pure electric or petrol or a combination of both.
