Highlights

Skoda has confirmed that the 3rd generation of the Fabia will make its debut in October this year at the Paris Motorshow. The car will be the recipient of the same engines as the facelifted Polo and we expect that there will be a host of changes made to the interiors and exteriors.

But the big news is that the new Fabia will not be based on the VW Group's MQB platform which was used for the Octavia. It will retain the current model's underpinnings and will be made available in international markets in the hatchback and wagon body styles.

The Fabia was also to get an RS version, however, that seems unlikely and the company will focus more on the Monte Carlo versions which look sportier.
