Highlights

I intend no offense, but Audi has been in dire need of a new design language for quite some time now. Sure, its cars have evolved over the years, but considering the competition, it is about time the four-ringed master broke free from the comfort of the established design-path it has treaded upon for so many years. Turns out, Audi is well on its way to do just that, thanks to Marc Lichte, the company's new Head of Design.

After hiring Lichte in February, 2014, Audi is now set to debut the A9 concept car at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show which will preview its new design language. The company explained, "The concept car at the Los Angeles Auto Show marks a new beginning in Audi Design - both exterior and interior."

Now for the A9 concept's teaser image, word has it that this baby shares its platform with that of the next-generation A8, i.e. the MLB platform. Though this is all we know for now, I believe this concept could very well lead to the birth of a new flagship model. Guess we'll have to wait and watch!
