Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd (HMSI) has taken an initiative to educate citizens about responsible riding and road safety through art. The company roped in Padma Shree awardee sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik to create a sculpture - Safety for Everyone - at Puri Beach. The sculpture also celebrates the inauguration of Honda's first-ever traffic parks in Odisha; one in Bhubaneswar, and another in Cuttack.

It took 2 days and approximately 10 tons of sand for Sudarsan to make the 9 feet tall and 22 feet wide sculpture. The sculpture was unveiled in the presence of Yadvinder S. Guleria, Vice-President, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd. and Takanori Maruyama, Director, HMSI.

Honda has been promoting safe riding for years now. In 2012, Honda inaugurated its first traffic park in Jaipur, followed by another one in Delhi. The company claims to have trained over 53,000 people, including women and children, at the two parks till date. The overwhelming response lead Honda to open new traffic parks in Odisha. Honda now operates a total of four traffic parks across North and East India.
