It's been quite a few years since the Aventador has been sold across the world in its current avatar. And while Lamborghini rarely works on facelifts, a test mule of the Aventador facelift was recently spotted with some heavy camouflage. It seems, this time, the Italian car manufacturer is keen on creating impact with a fresh looking Aventador, one of its highest selling models. At the earliest, we can see the Aventador facelift at the upcoming Paris Motor Show or latest by 2017 at the Geneva Motor Show. From what we gather, the launch of the Aventador might be followed by a roadster version as well. But there is no confirmation on the same.

There seem to be a few modifications which might have been inspired by the SuperVeloce. Lamborghini purists could possibly see that the sharp front end sees a lot of design cues borrowed from the LP 750-4 SV. There are two extra air intakes on the front bumper as well.

Similar cues are followed at the rear as well where two air intakes are fitted on top of the fender at the rear. The glass inserts which cover the rear-mounted engine also are slightly different from that on the LP 700-4 Roadster. The last detail change that we can make out is the single exhaust tip which has three pipes within it. The alloy wheels running on the Aventador facelift seen here are from the Roadster and might see some design changes or have few other options as well.

Lamborghini might also slightly uprate the engine to produce a wee bit more power. At present, the Aventador makes about 700bhp and 690Nm of torque. The company might take the peak engine output to 730-750bhp. At present, the Aventador and its SuperVeloce (SV) version produce 700bhp and 750bhp respectively. We are guessing that the Aventador facelift will see the light of the day soon and be in dealerships in the first quarter of next year.
