Maruti Suzuki Swift, the popular compact hatch from the Indo-Japanese carmaker, is now available in yet another special edition model. Christened the Swift Deca, this new special edition Swift hatchback has been designed on the theme of football and the number '10' associated with the sport. The car comes with a number of sporty exterior styling and smart cabin features. Like the previous special edition Swift models, this one too has been built on the mid-level- VXi and VDi variants. While the Deca VXi trim is priced at Rs. 5.94 lakh, the diesel variant Deca VDI is priced at Rs. 6.86 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). So is the new special edition Swift Deca worthy of that additional cost of about Rs. 20,000 or is it just a marketing gimmick to increase the sales of the car? Well, here are some of the key features of the car which might answer that question. New Styling Styling is one of the key aspects when it comes to special edition models and Maruti Suzuki seems to understand that pretty well. The new Swift Deca edition celebrates the charm of football's most flamboyant players with white racing strips that run along the hood, roof, and back. It is inspired by the famous number '10' associated with the sport and comes with the number 10 graphic on both sides of the car. Swift Deca Exterior Features Body Kit The new Swift Deca also comes with a body kit unique to the variant that gives the car a rugged and sporty exterior profile front and rear spoilers along with sporty black alloy wheels. Exclusive Seat Covers and Wraps The car some with exclusive seat covers that match the car's exterior profile with a new Black-and-Red seat covers and white seams that add to the design of the covers with the number 10 inscribed on the seats. Similar wrapping is used for the steering wheel and gear lever. Interior Styling The centre console of the Maruti Suzuki Swift Deca comes with a carbon-fibre pattern that adds a sporty appeal to the car's cabin. Similar carbon-fibre treatment is carried over to the door panels of the car giving the Deca adding continuity to its design and distinguishing it from the regular all black cabin. Cabin Features The cabin also comes with some new features that you'll not find in the regular Swift hatchback including red ambient lighting, metal foot pedals, door sill guard, trendy floor mats. Swift Deca Interior Gizmos and Equipment The new Maruti Suzuki Swift Deca comes with a new touchscreen infotainment system from Sony that offers Bluetooth connectivity, USB and AUX-input. The system also comes with 4 inbuilt speakers and the screen doubles up as a display for the rear parking camera. Safety Features Along with dual front Airbags (available on the optional variant) and ABS with EBD, the new Swift Deca, as mentioned earlier, also comes with a reverse camera and rear parking sensors as well. The New Touchscreen Infotainment System Price and Benefits Maruti Suzuki says the Swift Deca edition offers customers benefits worth Rs. 18,000 on the accessory kit. Compared to the standard Swift VXI (O), the Deca edition costs an additional Rs. 22,555, while the Deca VDI costs Rs. 30,319 more than the standard VDI (O) grade. Also, the car comes with Maruti's 2-year/40,000 km warranty.
