After launching the GL63 AMG, Mercedes-Benz India is now all set to roll out the CLA 45 AMG. The company has updated its official Indian website with the Mercedes CLA 45 AMG, which was showcased at the Indian Auto Expo in February 2014. The company has launched a total five AMG vehicles in India, including GL63 AMG, since last year. Mercedes' answer to the Audi Q3 and BMW X1, the GLA and the Audi A3 rival, CLA, are two other upcoming products after the CLA 45 AMG will hit our shores.

The CLA 45 AMG is based on Mercedes' MFA (Modular Front Architecture) platform, on which the A-Class and B-Class, too, are built. The new CLA 45 AMG will derive its power from a four-cylinder 2.0-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol mill capable of churning out a maximum power of 355bhp and the sprint from rest to a hundred clicks will take merely 4.6 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250Km/h. The engine will be mated to a seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels through Mercedes' 4MATIC all-wheel drive system.

Since the vehicle will be brought as a completely built unit (CBU), expect it to carry a heavy price tag.
