Highlights

Rolls-Royce first announced the Phantom Drophead Coupe Waterspeed Collection in February and now the company has fully revealed the car. This special edition of the Phantom Drophead Coupe was created to highlight the numerous customization options available through Rolls-Royce's bespoke program.

The car wears an exclusive Maggiore Blue exterior paint scheme which has no less than nine layers of paint and has been extended onto the engine. It gets the 11 spoke polished alloy wheels and a hand-painted coachline and a Bluebird motif.

Then there is the Abachi wood trim, a two-tone steering wheel and special armrests, which Rolls-Royce says required eight hours of work.

But the special edition also celebrates Sir Malcolm Campbell's water speed record established in September 1937. He hit an unheard speed of 208 km/h with a Bluebird K3 hydroplane powered by a Rolls-Royce engine.

The Phantom Drophead Coupe gets the standard V12 6.75-litre engine with an output of 453bhp and 719 Nm of torque. The Phantom Drophead Coupe can go from 0-100km/h in 5.6 seconds. However, since it is a special edition, only 35 units of the Phantom Drophead Coupe Waterspeed Collection will be made.
