Stunt Man Takes to Surfing With a Dirt Bike

Having no knowledge of how to surf is probably a setback for us Indians but you know that something's out of place when you see a bike riding the waves. You read that right, it's a bike; a dirt bike to be precise.

You go to a beach in India and you'll see people enjoying the sunset or cooling off in the water. Surfing, however, is something that eludes our minds, because we don't see it happening in India at all. But we've heard and seen it thanks to the shrinking world, and have been in awe of the acrobats that dare to tackle the big tides.

Having no knowledge of how it's done is probably a setback, but you know that something's out of place when you see a bike riding the waves. You read that right, it's a bike; a dirt bike to be precise.

Stunt rider Robbie Maddison doesn't seem to believe in the laws of physics and that's why you see him wearing a helmet (you might have never seen that in an ocean I am sure), astride his bike and revving through the waves like it was something that could be easily done.

Yes, the bike has had to be modified and it has small boards on the side of the front and rear wheel to give it some stability. After that it's all up to Robbie, who has to keep the momentum going by staying on the power and letting the special rear tyre, which looks like a paddle board, handle the rest. One wrong move would see him get caught up in the tide and of course sink.

According to Maddison, this is the craziest thing he's ever done. Well, for most of us, I am sure, we're still trying to retrieve our jaws from the floor.
