Hyundai recently launched the Santa Fe facelift in South Korea. The India-bound facelift not only sports a refreshed face, but also gets new features along with some mechanical revisions.

The new Hyundai Santa Fe gets a redesigned grille, larger air intake, chrome surrounds for the fog-light enclosures, chiseled head-lamps, and new LED daytime running lights among other changes. Hyundai says the rear bumper and tail-lamps have also been refurbished. Inside, the 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe remains largely unchanged except for the renovated instrument cluster, which gets new fonts and icons, and accents on the dashboard.

As far as the list pf provisions on the new car goes, Hyundai is now offering optional adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, a 360-degree camera system with parking assist, Smart High Beam Assist, and Dynamic Bending Lights (DBL).

In terms of engine options, Mechanically, the Santa Fe facelift will continue to be offered with the 2.0-litre and 2.2-litre diesel motors albeit with improved emissions. While the 2.0-litre unit develops 183bhp and 401Nm of torque, the bigger engine puts out 199bhp and 441Nm of maximum torque.

The Hyundai Santa Fe facelift is expected to arrive in India next year, and we expect it to be priced along the same range as the current model.
