The premium SUV from the Czech automaker could not gain traction in Indian market with other popular models in the segment skewing buyers’ attention. It received an update in 2014, which was largely confined to cosmetic updates on the outside. Available in diesel variants, it derives power from the 2.0 litre TDI engine putting out power in two states of tune. Transmission duties are taken care of by manual transmissions used to direct power to front wheels and there is also an option for a four wheel drivetrain on select variants.
Juxtaposed to the previous model, nothing much has changed and it retains the boxy silhouette. Visual changes are made to the SUV such as addition of new design elements in front and an option of a contrast roof on select models. Inside, it greets you with similar colour theme and dashboard as seen on the previous model. Powered by a 2.0 litre TDI engine, it comes with a choice two manual transmissions in 2WD and 4WD variants.

The round fog lamps have been replaced with the rectangular shaped unit, it gets angular headlamps and sports Skoda’s signature radiator grille. Bumper in front and rear have been redesigned; it equips new alloy wheels and new LED tail-lamps.

Nothing much has changed inside, the cabin sports dual tone beige and black colour scheme. Wood finish is visible on the centre console and dashboard. There are several storage points like bottle holder, cup holder and door pockets etc. The in-cabin tech such as audio system with touchscreen controls, 6.3 inch LCD TFT display etc adds to its credibility.
Skoda Yeti Engine Specifications & Transmission
The 2.0 litre TDI, four cylinder in-line engine offers power in two states of tune. The 109bhp version of the engine is linked to the five-speed manual gearbox and is available with a 2WD system. And the 139bhp version makes 320Nm of torque and power is transmitted to all four wheels through a six-speed manual fully synchronized transmission.
