Volkswagen is now offering the 1.0-litre MPI and TSI motors on the Polo that develops 108 bhp and 175 Nm of peak torque. The company says that the new three-cylinder engine is lighter and more efficient than the 1.2-litre engine it replaces. In addition, the Polo TSI will get a 6-speed manual, a first for the sporty hatch in its turbo-petrol guise, in addition to being offered on the standard versions. Meanwhile, a new 6-speed torque convertor replaces the 7-speed DSG on the hatchback.
The Volkswagen Polo Trendline, Comfortline and Highline Plus variants will be offered with the 1.0 MPI engine, whereas the 1.0 TSI motor will be offered in the loaded Highline Plus and GT Line variants. Compared to the BS4 model, the new BS6 Polo starts around the same price tag but the higher variants are now more expensive by about Rs. 4000. On the other hand, the new Polo GT TSI is about Rs. 17,000 cheaper than the older model and the addition of the manual transmission makes things a lot more interesting.

The mileage of the manual version will be around 18.24 km per litre for the petrol. So, the car is smart and fuel-efficient.
The design of Polo remains the same. There are plain lines, graphics, and a spoiler on the roof. The bumpers at the front and back add to the sporty look of the car. The design of this car is such that it ages without losing its ability to bear contemporary looks. The car looks sporty, smart and handsome.

The steering is well-balanced and aids your comfortably negotiating the curves and bends. There is minimal slag of the steering. You can turn the corner faster without any hint of any trouble. It’s absolutely safe. The suspension is a bit inflexible but despite that, it gives you comfortable ride negotiating the bumps and potholes. The brakes are good and they perform well. It’s good for your safety. The tyres don’t skid easily. When you are riding at high speed on the highways, the car grips the tarmac unbelievably well. The engine is so good that it has been planned to use it in its forthcoming models. The engine has been copied from the Skoda Rapid, so it’s not original. Nevertheless, it performs to your satisfaction.
This car holds itself steady at high speed, even on the highways. You can cut the corners and negotiate the bends with ease and lots of confidence. Curving the corner will be fund and you will certainly enjoy the experience. It’s all thanks to its safety. Even on off-road conditions, on potholes, breakers, and other obstacles, the car remains nonchalant. You won’t feel any difference. It goes in favour of this car. The brakes have a firm grip and they hold on firmly. The car is fitted with Goodyear tyres that offer a firm grip on the road. The stiff chassis is advantageous because it offers minimum flex. You are in perfect control of the car even at high speed.
