2027 BMW i5 LWB Makes India Debut; Bookings Open

- Larger dimensions compared with the standard i5
- Gets an 81.6kWh battery with a maximum claimed range of 669km
- To be offered in a limited run First Edition at launch
BMW India has showcased the new all-electric i5 Long Wheelbase (LWB), ahead of its launch in the coming weeks. Bookings for the sedan are now open, and it is expected to go on sale as a more comfort-oriented alternative to the i5 M60 already on sale in the country. Unlike the i5 M60, the BMW i5 LWB will be locally assembled, which should bring the price tag below that of its imported sibling. The sedan will be rolled out from the BMW Group Plant in Chennai.
