2027 Kawasaki Versys 650 Launched in India at Rs 8.63 Lakh

- MY27 Kawasaki Versys 650 priced at Rs 8.63 lakh (ex-showroom)
- Gets a 649cc parallel-twin engine producing 66bhp and 61Nm
- Deliveries to commence from the end of August 2026
India Kawasaki Motors has announced the launch of the MY27 Kawasaki Versys 650 in India, with prices starting at Rs 8.63 lakh (ex-showroom). The adventure-touring motorcycle will be available in a Candy Lime Green colour, with deliveries scheduled to begin by the end of August 2026.
The Versys 650 continues to use Kawasaki’s 649cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke parallel-twin engine. It produces 66bhp at 8,500rpm and 61Nm at 7,000rpm, with power sent to the rear wheel through a six-speed gearbox. Kawasaki says the engine has been tuned to offer strong mid-range performance while retaining its touring-friendly character.
The motorcycle uses a tubular diamond frame and gets 150mm of front suspension travel and 145mm at the rear. Unlike many adventure motorcycles, the Versys 650 runs on sporty 17-inch wheels, with Kawasaki focusing on a balance of agility, road manners and long-distance stability.
Touring practicality remains a key part of the Versys 650’s appeal. It gets a 21-litre fuel tank, an upright riding position and passenger-friendly ergonomics. Its relatively slim chassis and long-travel suspension are also intended to make it suitable for both urban riding and longer highway journeys.
Kawasaki positions the Versys 650 as an adventure-tourer capable of handling everything from daily commutes to highway trips and winding roads. With its road-focused 17-inch wheel setup, the motorcycle is aimed more at riders who prioritise touring and road performance than serious off-road ability.
At Rs 8.63 lakh, the MY27 Kawasaki Versys 650 continues as one of Kawasaki’s key middleweight adventure-touring offerings in India. Deliveries will begin from the end of August 2026.
