2027 Renault Kwid Spied Ahead Of Global Debut

- Styling updates mainly focused on front fascia
- Cabin design shares some similarities with the 2025 Kwid E-Tech
- Expected to make global debut in coming weeks
Renault looks to be readying a substantial update for the internal combustion Kwid in international markets. The entry hatchback to Renault’s range was recently spied undisguised ahead of its debut, providing an up-close look at the changes. The updated Kwid is expected to make its debut in Brazil in the coming weeks.

2027 Renault Kwid: Styling Updates
Up front, the new Kwid adopts a new rectangular enclosed grille design in line with last year’s Kwid E-Tech. Lower down, the bumper too is new, featuring a chunky black plastic-finished spar below the grille and a faux splitter-style lower lip with silver accents. The lighting clusters, however, are unchanged, with the turn signals and position lamps flanking the grille and the main rectangular headlamps continuing to sit within recessed housings on the bumper.

Down the flanks, the car continues to retain the old flap-style door handles, with the body cladding too unchanged. The only new elements are the updated wheel designs.
At the rear, the styling updates are limited to new clear lenses for the tail lamps.
2027 Renault Kwid: Cabin Updates
Inside, the cabin design now features links to the Kwid E-Tech EV from last year. The LED readout display makes way for what looks to be a TFT display in the instrument binacle flanked by LED readouts for parameters such as temperature and fuel. A free-standing touchscreen is mounted alongside the instrument binacle atop the centre console with the air-con vents - now featuring Y-shaped patterning sitting below. Unlike on the E-Tech, the touchscreen housing looks to be integrated with the instrument binacle surround rather than as a standalone piece as seen on the EV.
Other differences over the EV come in the form of a lower set centre spar of the dashboard - the ICE hatch’s AC vents are positioned on the spar rather than below it as on the EV.
As on the outgoing model, the new Kwid looks to retain its rotary-style air-con controls at the base of the centre console. Also unchanged on the centre console is the row of physical buttons, including power window switches.
2027 Renault Kwid: Mechanical Updates
It looks unlikely that the updated Kwid will get any mechanical updates, with the model sold in other developing markets also offered with a 1.0-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated engine good for around 70 bhp.
