Indian politicians are known to have some very exotic cars in their official fleet and personal collections, and Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister, Muthuvel Karunanidhi Stalin, popularly known as M.K. Stalin, is no exception. And the recent addition to Stalin's feet is the Land Rover Defender. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu was seen using his new luxury off-road SUV as part of his convoy that recently visited all the flood-affected areas in and around Chennai. The state was recently hit with torrential rain flooding Chennai and its surrounding areas. His convoy had not one, but two different Defenders. And both of them were the diesel option that is powered by a 3.0-litre oil burner. the 2995 cc, four-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine is tuned to 296 bhp at 4000 rpm and develops a peak torque of 650 Nm at 1500-2500 rpm. The engine comes mated to an automatic transmission. The cabin comes with an electrically adjustable steering column, Premium cabin lighting, and 12-way electric adjustable grained leather front seats with 2-way manual headrests. The SUV also gets Meridian Sound System 400 W with 10 speakers plus a subwoofer. Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister, M.K. Stalin, is known to have a great liking for big and premium SUVs. Apart from the new Defender, he is also said to have a Range Rover and a Lexus LX 470 in his garage, among other vehicles.
