Tata Nexon EV Electric SUV
The Tata Nexon EV is the first all-electric SUV from the company and it's based on the company's popular subcompact SUV Nexon. The Tata Nexon EV is available in 3 variants- XM, XZ+, XZ+ and comes loaded with comfort creatures along with 35 connected car features.
Visually, the Tata Nexon EV is identical to the regular ICE-powered Tata Nexon facelift. The top-end variant of the SUV comes with dual tone roof with roof rails, along with blue exterior accents and new alloy wheels.
The Tata Nexon EV comes with a new front bumper, with the air dam featuring a new grille with tri-arrow designs and contrast blue details.
The Tata Nexon EV also gets new headlamps with sharper details, blue accents, and LED projector lights. The SUV also get new LED DRLs, along with new larger foglamps and matching blue styling accents.
The rear section of the Tata Nexon EV comes with revised taillamps with LED guide lights. The SUV additionally also comes with an EV badge and a new rear bumper with new reflectors and tri-arrow design on the bumper cladding.
The Nexon EV's cabin largely remains identical to the regular Nexon, but the electric subcompact SUV will get a 7.0-inch part digital instrument cluster like on the Tata Altroz, offering information like battery level, range, and more. The dashboard also comes with glossy panels and blue accents.
The Tata Nexon EV also gets a 7-inch dashtop touchscreen infotainment system from Harman with 4 speakers and 4 tweeters, smartphone-based navigation, video playback, voice command, along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Tata Nexon EV uses a permanent magnet AC motor, powered by a 30.2 kWh Lithium-Ion battery that is liquid-cooled and IP67 certified. The Nexon EV offers a maximum range of over 312 km on a single charge. The new electric powertrain in the Nexon EV puts out 245 Nm of peak torque, enough to clock triple digit speeds in 9.9 seconds.
The Tata Nexon EV's battery can be charged up to 80 per cent in 60 mins using a fast charger while it will take 8 hours to do the same using a home charger. In fact, per minute of fast charging will give it a range of 4 km and if you have a charge of 50 per cent, the Nexon EV is good to go for 150 km.
