The Taliban has showcased Afghanistan’s very first home-manufactured supercar, the Mada 9
In a stunning development, the Taliban, one of the most frightening global
terrorist outfits, has unveiled Afghanistan’s first indigenous supercar
The Mada 9 is slightly based on the 2000 Toyota Corolla
The design of the supercar is attractive and a stark contrast to the struggles
faced by Afghanistan ever since the Taliban took over
A team of 30 engineers worked on this project for five years, taking care of
its design and development
Reports indicate that Kabul-based Entop, a car design studio, created the
vehicle along with the Afghanistan Technical Vocational Institute
The Mada 9 is only a prototype for now and the engine is derived from the
Toyota Corolla model mentioned earlier
The engineers have also stated that an electric powertrain may be available
with the supercar in the future
The specs are still unknown, although the Taliban has stated tha the Mada 9
will be sold in global markets too
The retro design gives a special effect to the supercar with LED DRLs and
an edgy front fascia. There are several body creases along with multi-spoke
alloy wheels
