Mahindra Scorpio-N Sets Guinness World Record

The Mahindra Scorpio-N has set a new Guinness World Record for the fastest crossing of the Simpson Desert in Australia by a production vehicle
The Record-Breaking Journey
The team, consisting of Gene Corbett and Ben Robinson, completed the desert journey in a time of 13 hours, 21 minutes, and 5 seconds. They traversed over 1100 sand dunes and endured scorching temperatures of up to 50 degrees Celsius

The Vehicle
The vehicle used for the desert crossing was a Mahindra Scorpio-N that had been modified with Cooper Rugged Trek tires and the removal of the second-row captain's chairs
The Guinness World Record
The previous Guinness World Record for the fastest crossing of the Simpson Desert in Australia by a production vehicle was 13 hours, 37 minutes, and 13 seconds. The Mahindra Scorpio-N beat this record by 16 minutes and 08 seconds
The Pride of Mahindra
The Scorpio-N faced several challenges during the crossing however the vehicle's powerful engine, four-wheel drive system, and long-travel suspension helped it to overcome these challenges and complete the journey successfully
