Piaggio Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. (PVPL) has launched its new FX range (fixed battery) of electric three-wheelers in India - the Ape' E-City and Ape' E-Xtra. The two new Ape Electrik models come with a fixed battery setup and target the passenger and cargo vehicle segments, respectively. The updated Ape' E-City FX electric rickshaw comes with a 7.5 kWh Lithium-Ion battery, whereas the new Ape E-Xtra FX, comes with a bigger 8 kWh battery and both are IP67 certified. While the Ape' E-City offers a maximum electric range of up to 110 km, the E-Xtra gets a range of up to 90 km; both come with a top speed of 45 kmph. The new electric three-wheeler from Piaggio also get a range of features like blue vision headlamps, automatic transmission, hill-hold assist, regenerative braking, dual-tone seats, multi-information instrument cluster, boost mode and the company's telematics solution - Piaggio Connect.
