The EV maker has rolled out 5 lakh units from its Hosur plant in Tamil Nadu, seven years after it introduced its first model: the 450.
The milestone unit was the Rizta, which is Ather’s best-selling scooter to date
The Rizta now makes up over one-third of Ather’s total production & has crossed the one-lakh sales milestone within a year of its April 2025 launch.
Ather’s Community Day 2025 saw the unveiling of two new concept scooters, the family-oriented EL01 (production in 2026), & the more radical Redux that remains a designexperiment for now.
Other updates from Ather revealed during the event include the introduction of cruise control for the 450 Apex & the unveiling of a new 6 kW fast charger.
Ather currently has two plants in Hosur with a total capacity of 4.2 lakh scooters a year. It is also setting up its third facility in Bidkin, Chhatrapati Sambhaji nagar, Maharashtra
