After the C3 X, Citroen is extending the ‘X’ badge to the Basalt lineup with the launch of the updated Basalt X coupe SUV.
The Basalt X is priced in the range of ₹7.95 lakh to ₹12.90 lakh (introductory ex-showroom).
Just like the new C3 X, even the Basalt X doesn’t come with any major visual updates on the outside, save for a new ‘X’ badge on the tailgate.
The dashboard has a more squared-off two-tone layout with textured detailing, while the center console gets sleeker vents, higher-mounted controls, & a relocated hazard switch. Top trims add leatherette upholstery
It gets many features, including push-button start/stop, ventilated front seats, cruise control, ambient lighting, Citroen’s new in-car voice assistant ‘Cara’, & an optional 360-degreecamera.
The Basalt X is offered with a 1.2-litre N/A petrol (81 bhp/ 115 Nm) with a 5-speed MT, or a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol (108 bhp/ 205 Nm) paired with a 6-speed MT or 6-speed AT.
