The French carmaker is offering the option of the CNG kit as a dealer-level fitment unlike other mass-market brands who ship it directly from the factory
Buyers opting for the C3 with the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated (N.A.) petrol engine can now opt for a dealer-fitted CNG kit for an additional Rs 93,000.
The 1.2-litre N.A. petrol unit is offered in four trims: Live, Feel, Feel(O), and Shine.
The CNG kit will be installed by Lovato and will come with a 3 year/1 lakh km warranty. The C3's CNG kit features a 55-litre (water capacity) tank, giving the hatchback a CNG-only range of up to 200 kms. Citroen claims that the C3 CNG will return up to 28.1 km/kg.
Private buyers aside, the French brand is also targeting commercial buyers working in last-mile mobility, ridesharing, and fleet operations with the C3 CNG.
