The Kylaq is the last Skoda model to benefit from reduced prices after the recent GST revision on automobiles.
Prices of Skoda’s sub-4m SUV will come down by up to ₹1.19 lakh starting from September 22, 2025.
Impact On Other Skoda It follows a similar announcement made by the company earlier in the week, in which it announced a price cut of up to ₹ 3.28 lakh on the Slavia, Kushaq, & Kodiaq.
Earlier, cars attracted 28% GST plus a variable cess based on size, type, & engine capacity, pushing rates up to 50%. Now, sub-4m cars with ≤1200cc petrol or ≤1500cc diesel engines aretaxed at 18%
All other internal combustion vehicles are taxed at 40 per cent while EVs continue to attract 5 per cent GST. Cess has been discontinued.
Launched last year, the Skoda Kylaq has driven record growth, with 36,194 units sold in the first half of 2025. It packs the proven 1.0 TSI engine with manual & auto options across 4trims.
