Hero MotoCorp has finally introduced a front disc brake on the 100 cc Splendor commuter motorcycle. Here’s what you need to know.
The Splendor Plus XTEC has been upgraded with a front disc brake. This brings the safety feature to the Splendor, which has been on sale in the Indian market for over 25 years.
The Splendor 100 was previously available only with drum brakes at either end. The addition of a front disc brake comes at a premium of about ₹ 3,500
There are no mechanical changes and the commuter continues to use the 97.2 cc enginewith a 4-speed gearbox. The design has largely remained unchanged over decades.
The Splendor is one of Hero’s best-selling motorcycles in the Indian market, alongside the Passion Pro, Glamour 125, and more.
The new Splendor Plus XTEC with the front disc brake is priced at ₹ 83,461 (ex-showroom).
