Hero Xpulse 400 Spotted Testing In India

A spy video filmed in the Himalayas has confirmed that the Xpulse 400 is still under development.

Delayed Launch

The Hero Xpulse 400 was initially supposed to be launched by mid-2020, before reports suggested that plans for the ADV have been shelved.

Engine & Chassis

The larger Xpulse will be powered by a new 421 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine churning out in the region of 40 bhp and 35 Nm torque, and will get a brand-new chassis.

Cycle Parts

The Hero Xpulse 400 was spotted with telescopic forks up front, a mono-shock at the back, brake discs on both ends, and a 21-inch front wheel.

Equipment

While we don’t know all the details yet, the Xpulse 400 will get a 5-inch TFT colour instrument cluster, and will be feature loaded.

Rivals

The Hero Xpulse 400 will provide a great platform for Xpulse 200 owners to upgrade to, and will go up against the likes of Royal Enfield Himalayan and KTM 390 Adventure.

Expected Price

The Hero Xpulse 400 will likely be priced in the ballpark of ₹2.60 lakh and is expected to be a more accessible offering when compared to its key rivals.
