Honda Cars Recalled In India

Honda has issued a recall for nearly all of its cars sold in India. Here’s why.

Over 90,000 Cars Recalled

Honda Cars India has issued a recall for 92,672 units comprising the Brio, Amaze, BR-V, WR-V, Jazz, City, and Accord over a faulty fuel pump.

Recalled Honda Cars Manufactured In 2017-18

The recall affects models manufactured between August 2017 and June 2018. The recall also affected 2,204 units in which the fuel pump was replaced as a spare part.

Honda’s Second Recall For Faulty Fuel Pumps

This is Honda’s second recall over a faulty fuel pump. The automaker previously recalled nearly 78,000 vehicles in 2021 for cars manufactured between 2019 and 2020.

Defect In The Fuel Pump

Honda says the affected vehicles could have a fuel pump with a defective impeller which could result in the engine either stopping or refusing to start.

Recall To Commence In A Phased Manner

Honda will begin the recall in a phased manner from November 5 onwards for a replacement free of charge. Owners will be contacted individually by the company.
