Genesis, which is Hyundai’s luxury sub-brand, is finally coming to India after a lot of debates over the years.
Hyundai will debut the Genesis brand in India in 2027 & all its models will be made-in-India.
The first time Hyundai showcased a Genesis car in India was back in 2016 at the Auto Expo in Delhi.
Its current global lineup includes multiple sedans & SUVs. The sedan lineup comprises theG70, G80 & flagship G90, while its SUV range includes the all-electric GV60, GV70, GV80 & GV80Coupe.
The company has previously registered design trademarks for the GV80 & GV80 Coupe in India, but there's no word on which SUV will be the first to debut in our market.
The first Genesis product for India could have a hybrid powertrain, which could be part of the eight hybrid electric vehicles that Hyundai has lined up for our market by FY2030.
