The LS nameplate has now been handed over from a sedan body style to an MPV silhouette in an era ushering SUVs. More details ahead in this visual story.
As per Lexus, ‘LS’ no longer stands for luxury sedan or Luxury SUV. Instead, it denotes Luxury Space.
Lexus’ massive LS concept MPV sports edgy styling with slim LEDs, an illuminated Lexus badge, & a 6m-long profile. It features door-mounted displays, sliding doors, & illuminated front& rear wheels.
The Lexus LS concept has a yoke-style steering wheel, some large, physical buttons, a wide infotainment screen & a wraparound-type second screen located behind the main display.
The LS concept’s highlight is its VIP-focused lounge recliner replacing captain seats. Smaller rear wheels free up third-row space, while a split glass roof & hatch-style boot with wood flooring complete the setup.
For now, Lexus has not mentioned if it does plan to put the 6-wheeled van into production or not. However, we won’t be surprised if the brand does go ahead to do so
