Maruti Suzuki has finally rolled out its first-ever car to achieve a full five-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash tests. Here’s how the new-gen Dzire achieved the score.
The 2025 Maruti Suzuki Dzire is the first Maruti car to earn a five-star rating from the Global New Car Assessment Programme (GNCAP).
The new Dzire scored 31.24 points out of 34 for adult occupant protection. Protection to the front passengers’ head and neck was good.
The tests concluded that the footwell area was stable as was the bodyshell and capable of withstanding further loadings.
The Dzire scored 39.20 points out of 49, resulting in a four-star rating, the highest for a Maruti car after the three-star rating on the Ertiga.
The new Dzire comes equipped with six airbags, ESC, ABS, ISOFIX anchorages, three-point seatbelts for all passengers, a seatbelt reminder system, and more.
