Finally after many deferred launch dates following its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Maruti’s first electric car now has an official launch date.
Maruti is set to launch its first long-range electric vehicle on December 2, 2025 in India.
The e Vitara is currently being rolled out from Maruti’s Gujarat facility since late August, with units currently being shipped to Europe & will be produced at the same plant for our market as well
The e Vitara takes heavy inspiration from the eVX concept, featuring angular head lamps with Y-shaped DRLs, thick cladding all around, & connected tail lamps similar to the original concept.
The global e Vitara gets ADAS, 10.25-inch instrument cluster, 10.1-inch touchscreen, ambient lighting, keyless start, ventilated seats, wireless phone charging & 360-degree cameras.
The India-spec e Vitara may get 49 kWh & 61 kWh packs, FWD as standard with 142bhp/192.5 Nm or 172 bhp in higher trims. AWD is global-only for now. Claimed WLTP range: up to 428 kms
