It has been revealed at the Auto Shanghai 2025, and comes with a 75 mm longerwheelbase as well as some Chinese market-specific changes.
The CLA LWB is 40 mm longer than the standard model, and its extended wheelbase isnow identical to that of the new C-Class (2,865 mm).
It has the same exterior and interior design touches as the regular CLA, including thethree-screens setup, which runs Mercedes’ latest MB.OS, with market-specific revisions
Mercedes-Benz has provided it with some software changes over the standard MB.OSthat includes a new MBUX voice assistant based on the Chinese AI tool DouBao. It also gets anew ‘Just Talk’ feature allowing users from all seats to interact with the voice assistant in bothChinese and English and even actively switch languages.
The CLA LWB also comes with Dolby Atmos spatial audio for the voice recognition system,allowing the car to emit three-dimensional ambient sounds to accompany the response to anyquery
Its MB.OS system also features bespoke avatars for the local market, including auditoryresponses offered by local voice talents and visual feedback via animations. The navigationsystem is also updated to run on local provider AMAP’s data, and provides details such as lane-level navigation, 3D mapping and traffic signal timers. The dedicated co-driver display alsofeatures in-built AI tech to tailor content based on the viewer’s past choices.
Its rear seat base has also been extended by 10 mm for improved comfort while thecarmaker says it also has softened the seat cushioning to make it more comfortable.
Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that the CLA LWB will be offered with all-electricpowertrains in the Chinese market, having a CLTC-claimed range of up to 866 km. The EV willsupport up to 320 kW DC fast charging, adding up to 370 km of range in 10 minutes.
