New-generation Volkswagen T-Roc Revealed

The T-Roc, which is now in its second generation, has many similarities with the new Golf, but in an SUV form. Tap ahead to know more about the new VW SUV.

Design

The new VW T-Roc gets angular headlights with a full-width light bar, a fresh set of alloys and connected LED taillights with an illuminated VW logo, while retaining its signature sloping roofline

Cabin

The new T-Roc gets a 10.4- or 12.9-inch touchscreen replacing most physical controls, rotary-style touch controller, column-mounted shifter, and distinct interior themes for standard & R-Line trims.

Dimensions

The second-gen T-Roc has grown in size & the SUV now measures 4373 mm long (+ 122mm). Moreover, the wheelbase has also been extended to 2631 mm, up by 28 mm.

Powertrains

The new T-Roc in Europe will get 48V mild hybrid 1.5 eTSI engines (114–148 bhp) & a 2-litre turbo-petrol AWD option, all with a 7-speed DCT, with full hybrids & the T-Roc R plannedlater.

T-Roc’s India Innings

Volkswagen launched the first-gen T-Roc in India in 2020 as a full import & in limited numbers. There is, hence, a possibility that the new T-Roc could come here in the future, still via the CBU route.
