The SUV nameplate, now in its third generation, is set to return to the Indian automotive landscape after a gap of nearly six years.
Renault has confirmed that the India-spec third-generation Duster will be showcased on January 26, 2026. India will get both 5- & 7-seat versions of the SUV.
Launched in 2012, the Duster pioneered the compact SUV trend in India & was the onlyone with AWD. However, sales declined with newer rivals & lack of updates, leading to itseventual discontinuation.
The new Duster, unveiled globally in 2023, uses the CMF-B LS platform. It features a boxydesign, all-LED lights, & a modern cabin with a large touchscreen, digital cluster, & multi-function steering wheel.
It is likely to get wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, auto climate control & more.
Powertrain specifications are yet to be confirmed; however, the India-bound model will come with a petrol engine mated to a manual gearbox & an optional CVT automatic. We willonly get front-wheel drive
