The Altroz facelift is the ninth Tata passenger car to secure a full five-star rating in the safety assessments.
The Altroz scored 29.65/32 points for adult safety, with good protection in frontal & side pole impacts, but only marginal chest protection in the side barrier test.
It scored 44.90/49 points for child safety, with near-full dynamic & CRS scores, but lost points in vehicle assessment, where it managed 9/13 points.
Bharat NCAP said that the five-star rating will be applicable to all variants of the facelifted Altroz currently on sale
The Altroz has become the only other hatchback to be tested by Bharat NCAP after the four-star-rated Baleno, with the Tata performing notably better.
The only models yet untested by Bharat NCAP include the internal combustion Punch, Tiago & Tiago EV & the Tigor and Tigor EV.
