The Autobiography variant is the new top-of-the-line trim for the SUV, and costs a hefty premium over the corresponding trim.
Land Rover now offers the Velar SUV in two trims: Dynamic SE and Autobiography. The latter is priced at Rs 89.90 lakh (ex-showroom), making it nearly Rs 5 lakh costlier than the former.
Over the Dynamic SE, the Autobiography variant gets copper trim finishing, new 10-spoke20-inch alloy wheels, and pixel LED headlights.
Inside, the Velar Autobiography’s cabin has ebony Windsor leather paired with Shadow Grey Ash veneer.
It gets some crucial additions like adaptive air suspension, a powered tailgate with gesture control, heated, ventilated and massaging front seats, and Meridian 3D sound system.
The Autobiography has the same petrol and diesel engines. Both mills displace 2.0-litres with the petrol unit making 246 bhp and 365 Nm, while the diesel produces 201 bhp and 420Nm. Both get an 8-speed AT gearbox.
