Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650 Revealed

Royal Enfield has pulled the wraps off the new Interceptor Bear 650. This is the fifth motorcycle based on the 650 platform. Here’s what it offers.

RE Interceptor Bear 650: What Is It?

The new Interceptor Bear 650 is based on the INT 650 to give it a scrambler look. The mainframe is the same but the subframe has been lifted.

Changes Over INT 650

The Bear 650 gets a sharper rake angle, while the swingarm is longer for more suspension movement. The wheelbase has grown by 61 mm. It gets more premium Showa forks.

Scrambler Style

The Bear 650 gets a higher ground clearance at 184 mm, 10 mm more than the INT 650. It also gets a two-into-one exhaust, and a wide handlebar.

Interceptor Bear 650: Engine

The Bear 650 gets the same 648 cc parallel-twin engine with 47 bhp and 56.5 Nm of peak torque, 4.2 Nm more than the INT 650.

Interceptor Bear 650: Electronics

The Bear 650 is the first motorcycle in the 650 Twin range to feature all-LED lighting and a fully digital console from the Himalayan. The bike will debut at EICMA 2024 in November.
