While not a proper facelift, the 3-door Thar – after five years into service – has finally received a big boost in its features set & exterior design.
Mahindra is selling the updated Thar in the range between Rs 9.99 lakh & Rs 16.99 lakh(ex-showroom pan-India). It is now offered in two new trims: AXT & LXT.
The updated Thar 3-door is also available in two fresh paint shades: Tango Red & Battleship Grey
Exterior changes include a body-coloured grille, dual-tone bumper like the Thar Roxx, spare wheel with rear camera, rear wiper-washer & a switch-operated fuel cap replacing the keylock.
Cabin changes include conventionally positioned front power window switches, front centre armrest with storage, rear AC vents, wireless charger & a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless phone connectivity.
It gets no powertrain changes & continues with 1.5-litre diesel, 2.2-litre mHawk diesel &2.0-litre turbo-petrol, paired with the same gearbox choices. Off-road hardware remain sun changed too.
