The latest VW concept is the fourth in a series of concept vehicles Volkswagen has revealed in recent years, which preview its future mass-market electric offerings.
As per its size, the ID.Cross is quite similar to the Volkswagen Taigun, & the production model it spawns is expected to be one of Volkswagen's most affordable EVs globally
The ID.Cross showcar in ‘Urban Jungle’ green features VW’s ‘Pure Positive’ design, a smiling front, chunky 21-inch wheels, full-width tail-lights, & illuminated VW logos.
The ID.Cross interior features beige ‘Vanilla Chai’ fabrics, 11- & 13-inch screens, fold-flat seats like a VW Bus, 450L boot, 25L frunk, & preset ‘Atmosphere’ modes for light, sound, & climate.
The ID.Cross has a 208 bhp front-wheel-drive motor, a top speed of 175 kmph, & a claimed WLTP range of 420 km, with battery specs yet to be revealed
Volkswagen's first mass-market EV for India, expected to be an electric SUV, is unlikely to arrive before 2027, & is likely to be a product shared with Skoda Auto.
