The all-electric GLC, that’s been undergoing testing for over a year now, will be replacingthe now-discontinued EQC SUV.
Mercedes-Benz will be unveiling the all-electric GLC SUV on September 7 at the IAAMobility Motor Show in Munich.
It will be underpinned by a new 800V architecture offering charging speeds over 320 kWon the top variants. At peak rate, DC fast charging will be able to add up to 260 kms of range injust 10 minutes
The GLC EV will get 4MATIC AWD with a dual electric motor set-up. The rear motor will bethe primary motive unit, featuring a 2-speed gearbox
The GLC EV is also likely to be larger than its internal combustion sibling, with Mercedesconfirming an 80 mm longer wheelbase.
Mercedes will offer the GLC EV with Airmatic air suspension derived from the S-Class. Alsoconfirmed is rear-wheel steering, which allows the rear wheels to steer at an angle of up to 4.5degrees.
