Maruti Suzuki ends this year on a negative note

Car models that saw the biggest decline during March 2014 in their sales are Maruti Swift Dzire and SX4, with -14.1% and -54.5% drop, respectively. The company sold a total of 11,55,041 units in 2013-14.

    India's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India closed the financial year 2013-14, with domestic sales of 1053689 units, up 0.3%. The company exported 101352 units in the 2013-14, taking the overall sales to 11,55,041 units.

    If we talk only about March 2014, MSI sold 102269 units in India and exported 11081 units, taking the total sales to 1,13,350 units. The company had sold 119937 units in March 2013, which means, a fall of -5.5% in March 2014 alone. Also, if we see the overall sales of this financial year, the company registered a fall of -1.4%, however, it recorded a marginal hike of 3.4% in its domestic sales.
