Spend a few minutes riding the Suzuki Burgman Street 125, and you quickly realise it isn’t trying to be just another everyday scooter. Suzuki has clearly aimed for something different here. The Burgman borrows its identity from the larger global Burgman maxi-scooters, bringing that bigger, more relaxed feel into the 125 cc commuter space. The tall windscreen, long seat, and roomy riding position immediately make it feel more comfortable than many smaller scooters.

What we notice most is the scooter’s calm, comfort-first personality. It’s not chasing sporty thrills. Instead, it focuses on easy riding and everyday practicality. As Preetam Bora puts it, The Burgman Street brings a premium maxi-scooter feel into the everyday commuter segment.”

In simple terms, this scooter feels bigger, more comfortable, and slightly more premium than most 125 cc commuters.

Expert Context

When we review the Suzuki Burgman Street 125, it isn’t just a quick spin around a parking lot. Our tests come from real riding experience, and that’s where Preetam Bora brings valuable perspective. He has spent over 20 years riding and evaluating two-wheelers.. With that kind of experience, you stop looking only at specifications and start paying attention to how a machine behaves in the real world.

For this review, we rode the Burgman through a mix of everyday routes, including the busy Goregaon–Aarey Road stretch, the Mulund–Thane–Bhiwandi highway corridor, and dense city commuting traffic. This combination gave us everything from slow stop-and-go riding to faster open-road cruising.

We tested it where scooters actually live — real traffic and real roads.

The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 stands apart in the 125 cc scooter segment because it brings a different philosophy to everyday commuting. Instead of focusing purely on compact practicality, Suzuki has borrowed inspiration from its larger global Burgman maxi-scooters. The result is a scooter that feels noticeably bigger and more relaxed than typical urban commuters. The tall windscreen, longer seat and stretched body proportions provide the rider with a sense of space and comfort, especially during longer city rides. Even the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 facelift updates have focused on refining that premium identity rather than changing its core character.

At its heart, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 2025 continues to use a smooth and easy-going 124 cc engine that prioritises refinement and efficiency. It isn’t meant to feel aggressive or sporty. Instead, it delivers calm, predictable performance that suits everyday traffic conditions perfectly.

Suzuki Burgman Street 2026 Images

Here’s what defines the Burgman experience:

  • 124 cc refined engine
  • Maxi-style scooter design
  • Comfortable and relaxed ergonomics
  • Ride Connect connectivity technology

As Preetam Bora explains, The Burgman Street is designed more around comfort and style than outright sportiness.

This scooter isn’t chasing performance. It’s chasing comfort.

Variants

The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 lineup keeps things refreshingly simple. Instead of offering too many trims, Suzuki focuses on two clearly defined versions that cater to different types of buyers. The core riding experience remains the same across the lineup. What this means is that the maxi-design, comfortable riding position, and smooth 124 cc engine are the same whether you take the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 base model or the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 top model. What really changes between the variants is the level of technology and connectivity.

New Suzuki Burgman Street 2026

Street Standard Edition

This is the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 base model and it focuses on the essentials. You still get the same large scooter design, comfortable seat, and relaxed riding ergonomics that define the Burgman experience. It keeps things straightforward with a digital instrument console and practical everyday usability. For riders who want the Burgman’s comfort and style without additional tech features, this version works perfectly well.

Street Ride Connect Edition

The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 top model represents this version, where Suzuki adds connectivity features that make the scooter feel more modern. The Ride Connect system links the scooter to your smartphone, turning the console into a smarter interface for navigation and notifications.

Key additions in this variant include:

  • Bluetooth-enabled digital console
  • Turn-by-turn navigation alerts
  • Smartphone connectivity features

So when you’re choosing between these two versions, the decision isn’t about performance or ride quality. Your choice depends on technology, not performance.

burgman 2026 Front Look

The first thing you notice about the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is how different it looks from most scooters around it. Instead of the compact, commuter-style design we’re used to seeing in the 125 cc segment, the Burgman brings a maxi-scooter identity that instantly feels more substantial. The tall windscreen, wide front apron, and stretched proportions make the scooter appear larger and more premium than many of its rivals. When we rolled it out into traffic, it didn’t feel like a typical small scooter — it felt closer to a scaled-down touring machine.

Up front, the LED headlamp setup adds a modern touch, and the tall windscreen not only improves the look but also gives the front profile a strong visual presence. Move to the side, and the long seat and wide body panels create a comfortable and slightly luxurious feel. Even when you’re standing next to it, the Burgman gives off the impression that it was designed with comfort and presence in mind.

Burgman Street 125 boot space

Here’s what really defines its styling:

  • Large front apron
  • Wide body panels
  • Stylish tail section
  • Premium maxi-scooter proportions

As Preetam Bora explains, The Burgman Street looks bigger than most scooters, and that immediately gives it road presence.”

Park it next to regular scooters and it instantly stands out.

Technical Specifications

Before we talk about how the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 feels on the road, it helps to look at the numbers that shape its character. Beneath the bodywork lies a 124 cc single-cylinder engine that is more concerned with smoothness and efficiency than out-and-out performance. The output figures may not sound aggressive, but in everyday city riding they deliver the kind of calm, predictable response most scooter riders actually want.

SpecBurgman Street
Engine124 cc
Power8.58 bhp
Torque10 Nm
TransmissionCVT
Front BrakeDisc
Rear BrakeDrum
Weight110 kg
Fuel Tank5.5-litre

What these numbers really tell us is that the Burgman prioritises comfort and usability. The CVT transmission keeps acceleration smooth in traffic, while the relatively light weight helps it remain easy to handle. Add the front disc brake and a practical fuel tank size, and you get a scooter that feels built for everyday commuting rather than outright speed.

Rider Comfort

The moment we settle onto the Suzuki Burgman Street 125, the scooter’s comfort-focused philosophy becomes clear. Unlike many compact commuters that feel slightly cramped, the Burgman gives you space to relax. The riding posture is upright and natural, which means your back stays comfortable even during longer city rides. The handlebars are easy to reach, and the seat height is comfortable for most riders. When we spent time riding through traffic and open roads, that relaxed layout made the scooter feel easy and stress-free to handle.

What really adds to the comfort is the clever use of space around the rider. Suzuki has designed the Burgman so you’re not forced into one fixed riding position, which makes daily commuting feel less tiring.

Here’s what helps create that comfortable experience:

  • Wide floorboard for better legroom
  • Flexible leg positions while riding
  • Long and well-cushioned seat
  • Relaxed handlebar reach

As Preetam Bora explains, The seating position is relaxed and comfortable, especially for longer city rides.

Spend enough time in traffic, and you’ll appreciate how easy this scooter is to live with.

Burgman Street 125 side back view

Out on the road, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 feels exactly like what it promises to be — a relaxed and easy scooter built for everyday riding. Twist the throttle in city traffic and the engine responds smoothly without feeling abrupt or aggressive. The CVT gearbox keeps acceleration predictable, which makes filtering through slow traffic smooth and stress-free. When we rode through crowded city stretches, the Burgman’s calm power delivery made the experience surprisingly effortless.

Throttle response is tuned for comfort rather than excitement. That means the scooter moves away from traffic lights smoothly and builds speed in a steady, controlled manner. For daily commuting, this actually works in its favour because you never feel rushed or overwhelmed by sudden bursts of power. Instead, the scooter feels friendly and easy to ride even if you’re new to two-wheelers.

burgman

Here’s how the performance character comes together:

  • Smooth throttle response in traffic
  • Refined engine with minimal vibration
  • Predictable acceleration for daily rides
  • Comfortable cruising on open roads

The Burgman feels most comfortable cruising between 60 and 75 kmph, which is ideal for city ring roads and short highway runs. As Preetam Bora explains, The engine feels smooth and refined, and it works well for relaxed everyday commuting.

This is a calm, effortless commuter.

Once we spend time riding the Suzuki Burgman Street 125, it becomes clear that comfort sits at the centre of its ride and handling setup. The scooter is tuned to absorb everyday road imperfections rather than encourage aggressive riding. On city streets filled with speed breakers, potholes, and uneven surfaces, the Burgman manages to stay composed and surprisingly comfortable. The suspension is soft enough to soak up bad roads, yet it stays composed when you’re cruising at steady speeds.

The long wheelbase and slightly larger body proportions also help the scooter feel planted on the road. When we rode through mixed traffic and open stretches, the Burgman felt predictable and easy to guide. It doesn’t feel twitchy or overly sporty. Instead, it offers a calm and reassuring ride that works really well for everyday commuting.

Burgman Street 125 - 2026

Here’s what supports that relaxed ride quality:

  • Telescopic front fork
  • Comfortable suspension tuning
  • Stable chassis balance
  • Predictable handling response

As Preetam Bora explains, Comfort is clearly the priority here, and it shows in how the scooter rides over rough roads.

That focus on comfort makes the Burgman feel reassuringly easy to ride, whether you’re navigating traffic or cruising through smoother city roads.

Technology is one area where the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 tries to feel a little more modern than traditional commuter scooters. Suzuki’s Ride Connect system brings smartphone connectivity into the experience, especially in the Ride Connect variant. Once paired with your phone, the scooter’s digital console starts acting like a small information hub, showing useful notifications and navigation prompts while you ride. It’s a simple idea, but in everyday commuting it adds a layer of convenience that many riders will appreciate.

The system keeps things simple rather than loading you with flashy graphics or complex menus. Instead, it offers practical features that are genuinely useful during everyday rides. Whether you’re navigating through city traffic or just keeping an eye on notifications, the interface feels easy to understand and quick to glance at while riding.

Here’s what the technology package includes:

  • Turn-by-turn navigation alerts
  • Call and message notifications
  • USB charging socket
  • Fully digital instrument console
new Burgman Street 125 - 2026

As Preetam Bora explains, Connected features make the Burgman Street feel modern for a commuter scooter.

For riders who value everyday convenience, these features make the Burgman feel noticeably more contemporary than many basic scooters in the segment.

When it comes to everyday riding, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 focuses on predictable and confidence-inspiring braking rather than aggressive stopping power. Up front, the scooter gets a disc brake that provides stronger and more progressive braking feel compared to a drum setup. In city traffic, that stronger braking really helps when you need to slow down quickly at signals or in crowded streets.

Burgman Street 125 tyre

The Burgman also uses the Combined Braking System (CBS), which distributes braking force between the front and rear wheels when you apply the rear brake. This setup improves stability during sudden stops and makes braking easier to manage, especially for newer riders.

Together, these parts make the braking feel predictable and confidence-inspiring for everyday riding.

Motorcycles and scooters are not rated under Bharat NCAP or Global NCAP frameworks.

For most everyday situations, the Burgman’s braking system feels predictable and easy to trust.

The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 sits slightly above many traditional commuter scooters in terms of pricing, and that positioning is deliberate. Suzuki isn’t pitching this scooter purely as a basic city runabout. The Burgman tries to feel a bit more premium with its maxi-scooter look, comfortable setup, and connected features. The added cost mainly comes from the extra technology in the Ride Connect variant.

VariantPrice
Ride Connect Edition1,0,1944
Ride Connect TFT Edition1,13,220

The Standard variant keeps things simple and accessible, while the Ride Connect version adds smartphone connectivity and navigation alerts. When you stack it against other 125 cc scooters, the Burgman’s price makes sense because it offers more comfort, distinctive styling, and a slightly premium touch.

The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 competes in a crowded scooter segment where buyers often prioritise reliability, efficiency, and everyday practicality. What really separates the Burgman a little is its maxi-scooter look and the way it prioritises comfort. Most rivals focus on compact city usability, while the Burgman tries to offer a slightly more premium and relaxed riding experience.

Take the Honda Activa 6G, for example. It remains the benchmark for reliability and widespread service support. Honda Dio is positioned for younger riders, thanks to its lighter weight and more playful design. Because they target different kinds of riders, the comparison becomes quite interesting. Each of these scooters serves a slightly different purpose, which makes the comparison interesting.

Honda Dio109.5 cc7.95 bhpSporty youth scooterRs. 68,846–79,723

So while the rivals focus on practicality or affordability, the Burgman’s appeal comes from its comfort, larger presence, and premium feel.

Verdict

After spending time riding it through everyday traffic, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 makes its priorities very clear. It doesn’t try to win you over with sporty performance. The Burgman Street 125 is designed for comfort, relaxed ergonomics, and a more premium feel than many scooters in this segment. In this Suzuki Burgman Street 125 expert review, the biggest highlight is how simple and convenient it feels for everyday commuting. The roomy riding position, smooth engine, and maxi-style design all work together to make city rides less tiring and more enjoyable.

As Preetam Bora explains, If comfort and premium feel matter more than outright performance, the Burgman Street makes a strong case.”

  • One of the best maxi scooters but slightly overpriced
    4.0
    Street Standard Edition(Petrol)
i have purchased in Sep'2022 , overall performance is very good. and in even in after 3 years the mileage is above 40 and in some cases it crosses 45+. Riding is smooth. Only thing is missing in ABS and better breaks. Ground clearance should have been little better. I think none of the maxi scooters offers such expirence. New Version is better having more features such as bigger rear tyre and engine start stop kill features. Overall that is also expensive.

  • Mast bike hai ded lakh me
    4.0
    Street Standard Edition(Petrol)
Suzuki Burgman Street 125 ka mileage kaafi achha hai, and it’s very easy to handle in traffic. Engine performance is smooth, and the seat height is comfortable for daily commuting. highway pe utni khas nahi hai bike best hai uske liye.

  • Could be better
    2.0
    Street Standard Edition(Petrol)
The Suzuki Burgman Street 125 feels underpowered, especially on highways. The maintenance cost is higher than expected, and the mileage is not as good as advertised. It’s a stylish scooter, but I’m disappointed with its performance

  • Fuel consumption is high
    4.0
    Street Ride Connect Edition(Petrol)
The scooter feels heavy in traffic, and the mileage is lower than I expected. I’m only getting around 40 kmpl, which is disappointing for a 125cc scooter. The engine is smooth, but the fuel consumption is high.
