Cons

  • Overall quality

Verdict

Intended for a younger crowd, the Yamaha RayZR 125 Fi looks stylish thanks to its retro design. But its positives are not limited to its looks as the engine is equally potent and has high refinement level with a linear power deleivery to make cruising easy. But we don't like the overall plastic quality of the scooter and Yamaha could've worked on this. Leg space is inadequate, and makes hooking up titbits difficult. The brakes also could've been better as it lacks initial bite.

Yamaha Ray-ZR 125FI

The Yamaha Ray-ZR 125FI is a potent option for buyers, offering a mix of decent features, attractive styling, and a competitive price point. Does it measure up to your expectations? Here’s finding out.

How is the design?

In recent years, the Yamaha Ray-ZR 125FI has had a meteoric rise in popularity among individuals. When it comes to buying a stylish scooter, you need to pay close attention to the design details. The Yamaha Ray-ZR 125FI is one of the greatest scooters to consider buying if you want to get the most out of your money while still getting the best possible scooter. This is not only attractive to look at but also has a plethora of features and functions in its package.

There is a fairing at the front of the vehicle that encloses the headlight as well as the instrument panel. The fuel tank also features some of the attractive curves, and it is followed by a tail section that has a sporty appearance. The appearance of sportiness has been improved with the addition of a substantial quantity of visuals. The gorgeous colour lends an air of chicness to the whole appearance. The structure is strong and able to withstand the rigors that regular metropolitan traffic may bring. On the other hand, the model with alloy wheels features a front bikini fairing in addition to panels in the rear area. The speedometer is easy to understand and presents the information in a comprehensible manner. When compared to the older 110 cc scooter, the newer edition of the Ray ZR has an entirely different look in terms of its appearance. In this hybrid version of the Ray ZR 125, the company has equipped the headlights with LED bulbs, which were not featured in the previous model. When viewed from the front, it appears to be divided into three halves. At the same time, in order to increase the breadth of the scooter and boost its presence, the manufacturer has incorporated two fake air vents, which are entirely unique in comparison to other scooters in this particular market sector.

Aside from this, the turn signals that are included in it make you think of Yamaha motorcycles. At the very top, one can see the windscreen, which has a frontal daytime running light in the shape of a Y. The scooter appears to be a little on the tall side when viewed from the side, and the back profile may not be as appealing as the front, but the sweeping panels that are located around the tail lamps give it a dynamic appearance. This incredible scooter has a storage place underneath the seat that is 21 liters in capacity, which is a definite benefit.

How is the performance?

This scooter is the only one in its price range that does a better job of making a fashion statement on wheels than any other scooters that are available. It is nice to be able to ride with an engine that has a greater degree of flexibility. You get to look at a wide variety of characteristics, which is why giving serious thought to purchasing this scooter will be of great benefit to you.

These wheels are outfitted with tubeless tyres in sizes 90/90 and 110/90 respectively, both of which are tubeless.

How does the motorbike ride?

The Yamaha Ray-ZR 125FI's exceptional mileage per gallon is undoubtedly its most compelling selling point. According to the ARAI, the mileage on this scooter is approximately 58 kilometers for every liter, but that is assuming that everything runs well. There are a lot of people out there who are constantly interested in finding out more information regarding the type of scooter that is best suited for driving on highways and roads that are covered in dirt. This is one of those scooters that provide you with respectable mileage while still providing adequate performance.

It is one of the very few cases in which a motorcycle's capacity, as well as its power and torque output, have increased during the process of transitioning from being able to meet BS4 emission regulations to being able to meet BS6 emission norms. This scooter satisfies all of the requirements that the Indian customer of today is looking for in a product, therefore it's a good choice. This is equipped with a motor that is economical and refined, and it provides a ride that is both comfortable and reliable in abundant measure.

How comfortable the motorbike is?

You might go for this kind of scooter if you're looking for the one that's the most feature- and functionality-packed overall and if you want to get the most bang for your buck. The fact that it has the puffed-up bodywork and an entirely new platform has already led to the creation of a comparatively larger scooter. If you want to make sure that you get the greatest scooter for a long journey, you should make sure that the scooter provides you with the highest possible level of comfort. Despite this, Yamaha has already cut the kerb weight down to an amazing 99 kilograms, which places it among the lightest 125cc scooters on the market. Is the motorbike good value for Money?

The manufacturer created the scooter with young people aged 18 to 25 in mind when making the product. A new variety of scooters has been released, and it includes aggressive scooter styling, excellent performance, and appealing features. It is possible that the power output of its engine is not particularly high in comparison to others in this class; but, because its weight is so low, the response time of its engine is very fast. Because the suspension seems to be very firm, the ride quality of the Ray ZR is a little less than ideal over larger potholes. However, because of the vehicle's firm suspension it instils confidence even while you are navigating sharp turns at fast speeds. Aside from this, the scooter's braking mechanism performs fairly well for its overall design. The footboard space on this scooter is strange, and the fact that it is not comfortable enough for a driver who is 6 feet tall is one of the drawbacks of the new Yamaha Ray ZR 125. Other than that, it is a terrific price and is definitely worth purchasing for the purposes of everyday commuting and shopping.

Because the corporation maintains a widespread dealer and service station network across the country, it is incredibly convenient for its clients to have their motorcycles maintained. In addition, the company provides clients with a toll-free number and a website through which they may easily get in touch with customer service representatives to have any questions or concerns addressed. The after-sales service that comes with the Ray-ZR 125FI is fairly nice and doesn't cause a lot of difficulty overall.
