Introduction
The Yamaha Aerox 155 is available at an ex-showroom price ranging between 1.29 lakhs and 1.31 lakhs. The motorbike comes in two variants: STD and MotoGP Edition and sports 3 colour options: Racing Blue, Grey Vermillion and Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition. The Yamaha Aerox 155 is packed with interesting and attractive features like VVA-equipped Engine, LCD Instrument Console, front disc brakes and so on.
How is the design?
With a striking design and excellent road presence, the Yamaha Aerox 155 has a sporty and sharp look. The central spine of the bike runs high along the floorboard, which is not flat in shape and therefore, space is limited. The X-shaped design of the bike’s central spine adds to the good looks of the bike. However, the rider might find it difficult stepping their feet through. LED lights are installed both at the front and rear, but it does not feature LED Turn Indicators. The underseat storage capacity of the bike is 24.5 litres, which is still inadequate to store a full-face helmet. The storage space does not come with USB Charging or LED lights. A glove compartment is present on the inside of the front apron, with a charging socket. The bike features an LCD instrument console paired with a REV counter and the display shows adequate information including trip metre, odometer, fuel consumption readouts. The Yamaha Motorcycle Connect App offers Bluetooth connectivity
How is the performance?
The performance of the Yamaha Aerox 155 is a strong suit. On the go, no instant surge of power is there from the get-go but once the bike gets moving, the Yamaha Aerox 155 is quite fast. The acceleration of this bike is linear and the rider can reach triple digit speed in no time, without any effort. Under normal city conditions, the scooter has ample power to keep ahead of many other two-wheeled commuters and on the highway, the Yamaha Aerox 155 settles into a steady cruise. Powered by a 155cc, four-valve, single cylinder engine, the Yamaha Aerox 155 features a VVA (Variable Valve Actuation). The bike offers plenty of smooth power across the rev range. The scooter has the capacity to churn out a peak torque of 13.9mm at 6,500rpm, and a maximum power of 14.8bhp at 8,000rpm.
How does the Yamaha Aerox 155 ride?
The ride quality of Yamaha Aerox 155 is stiff, but certainly not comfortable. The stiffness compliments the bike’s sporty handling. The bike is able to retain its composure in curve roads, and the bike is up for a spirited riding down the twisted roads, somewhat like a motorcycle. Overall, the scooter is stable, well-balanced, both around the corners and in the straight line. The brakes on the bike could have felt better. The adequate stopping power comes from the 130mm rear drum and 230mm front disc brake with ABS.
How comfortable is the Yamaha Aerox 155?
Overall, the bike is comfortable. The seat that comes with the Yamaha Aerox 155 is comfortable and wide, but the knee-room looks premium. For people taller than 6 ft, the knee room might feel a little cramped, even though it is not uncomfortable. The pillion seat of the scooter gives the feeling of a motorcycle, positioned higher up, and may take a while before the rider gets used to mounting it. However, the Yamaha Aerox 155 does not feature a grab rail and there is nothing that the pillion rider can hold on to, and this is a point of contention, if the rider intends to ride the scooter two-up much often.
How's the tech?
The Yamaha Aerox 155 is packed with a fair number of features. The headlights and the tail-lights of the scooter make up the LED unit and it also integrates a fully-digital instrumentation. The LED unit offers good spread and brightness. The digital cluster displays a good deal of information including fuel consumption and trip-related data, along with a tachometer and VVA indicator. The functionality of the Bluetooth connectivity, however, is quite limited. Controls for music playback and on-screen navigation instructions are unavailable in this model, but it still comes with SMS and call alerts. It also displays the last parked location. The bike also features an excellent start-stop system, among other features. A small cubbyhole is integrated on the back of the apron, featuring a single-channel ABS, DC charging port and a side-stand cut-off feature.
How's the mileage of the Yamaha Aerox 155?
On an average, the bike is able to return a mileage of 45 KM/L. Thus, the Yamaha Aerox 155 is able to return a mileage of 48.62 KM/L in the city and on the way, it returns 42.26 KM/L.
Is the Yamaha Aerox 155 good value for money?
Considering its fuel-efficiency, price, features, and design, the Yamaha Aerox 155 is expected to deliver value to its customers in every way. Anyone looking for a performance-oriented scooter, the Yamaha Aerox 155 is an ideal choice. It is a practical, affordable and everyday scooter.

The other motorbikes competing in the same segment as the Yamaha Aerox 155 include Suzuki Burgman Street, Bajaj Avenger Street, Suzuki Burgman Electric, Yamaha Yzf R15 V3, Super Soco Ts Street Hunter, and so on.
