    The Jaguar I-Pace is powered by two synchronous permanent magnet electric motors at the front and rear axle respectively, which develop a combined power output of 394 bhp and 696 Nm of peak torque. Powe is sent to all four wheels via the AWD system. The performance SUV can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 4.8 seconds and promises a range of over 480 km. The model comes with a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that will take about 45 minutes to charge from 0-80 per cent using a 100 kW rapid charger, while a 7 kW AC wall box charger will take about 10 hours for a full charge.

    Audi has revealed the facelift of the Q7 and it sees a new design which is more in line with the Q family. The update to the Q7 is both visual and technological, to make the SUV a more feature rich offering. Big change comes to the front where the Q7 now gets a large octagon-shaped single frame grille with six upright slats providing the structure. This helps in adding a bit of aggression to the look of the SUV. The two-part side air inlets have a much more expressive line, just like the sill area that underscores the large SUV's ground clearance. Customers will have the option of going for HD Matrix LED technology with Audi laser light.

    The new Mahindra XUV500 will get a Mercedes-Benz style large, single-unit display with split screens for the touchscreen infotainment system and the instrument cluster.The upcoming next-generation Mahindra XUV500 has been spotted testing in India again, and this time around we get a glimpse of the SUV's new digital instrument cluster. Some of the earlier spy photos had revealed that the new XUV500 will get a Mercedes-Benz style large, single-unit display with split screens for the touchscreen infotainment system and the instrument cluster. In fact, the display on the new Mahindra XUV500 is expected to be wider than the 12.25-inch unit on Mercedes-Benz models. The unit is expected to offer a tonne of extra information like tyre pressure, distance to empty, and maybe even maps.

    Volkswagen has again teased its upcoming compact SUV- Volkswagen Taigun on social media platforms ahead of its launch. The carmaker released a teaser video of the Taigun giving us a fair idea of the front end of the production-ready model. The SUV has already been listed on the German carmaker's official India website for collecting online enquiries. As we already know, the Volkswagen Taigun has been specifically designed for the Indian market and will be based on the company's MQB A0 IN platform, which will in-turn spawn Volkswagen Group's upcoming models.

    The updated Mahindra TUV300 Plus is expected to be launched in some time in early 2020, possibly after the BS6 transition takes place.     The Mahindra eXUV300 is the all-electric version of the carmaker’s popular subcompact SUV, the XUV300. The Mahindra eXUV300 concept made its global debut at the Auto Expo 2020, and it is set to become the company’s first electric SUV from the home-grown automaker, after the eKUV100. The XUV300 electric comes with an electric motor, powered by a Lithium-Ion battery, driving the front wheels of the SUV. The eXUV300 is based in the company’s new electric powertrain platform that will also be used by SsangYong in the European Markets.

    The new Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine steps in place of the CLA in the brand's line-up. The all-new offering was originally scheduled for launch in the second half of 2020 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The compact luxury saloon borrows its design cues from the new-generation A-Class hatchback but gets the classic three-box design. The cabin is loaded on the feature front and gets the dual screens with the MBUX system. Also, expect to see the Mercedes Me Connect system along with features like climate control, voice command, Park Assist, Active Brake Assist, and more.

    The Jaguar XF Facelift was unveiled globally in October this year and we are expecting this model to go on sale in India in 2021. It will take you a detailed look to know what all has changed in the new model and on close observation you'll notice that it gets slimmer quad LED headlights now with individual DRL fringes for each unit instead of the J-blade DRL seen on its predecessor. The grille too has been updated and gets diamond detailing with chrome finish while the massive side curtains bring in a sense of sportiness to the design. However, it's on the inside where the Jaguar XF feels really new as the cabin has been reasonably upgraded. Taking centre stage is the new curved 11.4-inch HD touchscreen that gives you access to the new Pivi Pro infotainment system. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and surround camera view among others are the standard features and it also gets over-the-air (OTA) updates. Then it also gets a new fully-digital instrument cluster and a conventional gear lever replacing the rotary knob of the outgoing model. The drivetrain options on the new Jaguar XF remain unchanged. First up, it's the rear-wheel drive 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engine that puts out 243 bhp, and then is the all-wheel drive iteration where the same powertrain churns out 292 bhp. While the RWD version clocks triple digit speeds in 6.5 seconds, the AWD version does so in just 5.8 seconds.

It will be rivaling the likes of the Hyundai Creta in India which has been the top-runner of the compact SUV segment for quite some time.

    The 2021 Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 gets the famed 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine that develops 382 bhp and 480 Nm of peak torque, and can sprint from 0-100 kmph in just 4.3 seconds.The new GLA 45 is the third musketeer alongside the A 45 and the CLA 45 in the Mercedes-AMG A family and packs in the same M139 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that develops 382 bhp and 480 Nm of peak torque, while paired with the 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Power is sent to all four wheels via the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system.

  • Mahindra eXUV300

    Mahindra is planning to bring in an electric version of the XUV300 subcompact SUV. Back then we had mentioned that the electric SUV will arrive sometime in 2020, and now, sources in the company have told us that the production version of the Mahindra XUV300 Electric will debut at the 2020 Auto Expo. Codenamed S210, the upcoming electric version of the XUV300 will be offered in two variants - standard and long-range version, offering a range of up to 200 km and 350-400 km respectively, on a single charge.

    The next-generation Skoda Octavia was officially unveiled in November 2019, making its global debut at a special event in Prague, Czech Republic. The car is expected to go into series production later this year, however, India is likely to get it towards the end of 2020 or early 2021. The Octavia is one of the most successful nameplates for the automaker and the car has just entered its fourth generation, which is longer and wider than the predecessor and sports several segment-first features and also gets a plug-in hybrid engine option for the first time.

    The new GLA is the eighth model to join the line-up of the current compact car generation from Mercedes-Benz. It represents the entry level into the brand's successful family of SUV models. And there are quite a few changes that this new-gen model gets. The GLA features powerful overall proportions with short overhangs front and rear. The front section flows over the A-pillar into the compact greenhouse. The use of dynamic lines has reduced and the GLA now comes with coupe-like lines on the side windows. The radiator grille too features distinctive openings along with a single louvre and a central star. The side and rear views are characterised by the muscular shoulders of the vehicle. The doors reach over the sills, thereby on the one hand improving ease of access, while at the same time keeping the door frames free of dirt and improving impact protection in the event of a side collision. All-round protective cladding adds structure to the overall proportions and emphasises the vehicle's off-road character, as does the simulated underride guard at the front and rear.

  • New Mercedes-Benz E-Class

    The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class facelift finally breaks cover and it gets a bunch of updates which include a new face, new and electrified engine options and more features. The E-Class, now in its 10th generation, was first introduced in 2016 and gets a significant upgrade now to keep it ahead of the curve and fend off competition from the Audi A6 and the BMW 5-Series. Coming to the design updates first, the new E-Class gets a new front end, with a slightly revised grille, getting the three-pointed star and newly designed headlamps, which now look in line with other Mercedes-Benz cars. The bumpers at the front and rear are new and look better and the tail-lamps too get a new design. Similarly, the AMG version of the E-Class now looks more muscular and the E-Class All-Terrain gets a design update which brings it closer in terms of looks to other Mercedes-Benz SUVs.

    The Porsche Taycan is the company’s first electric car  has a clean, simple design and takes styling cues from the 918 and the 911 as well. The regular 3 door model is available in the international market and the 5-door model is about to exclusively launch in India. This model is popular for its retro looks and aggressive performance. Suzuki Jimny is now in its fourth generation in the international market and was first launched for sale in 1970. This powerful model gets charged from 1.5-litre petrol mill paired with 5-speed manual gearbox. The mileage offered may range between 15 kmpl to 20 kmpl depending on the driving conditions.

  • New BMW 5 Series

The update also brings a host of new tech to the model with the big change being the new mild-hybrid technology that's now standard across all engines.

  • New BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo

    The BMW 6 Series GT Facelift too sees similar updates that we saw in the 5 Series. It gets a sharper front end with new LED headlights while profile and rear remain unchanged. Even on the inside you'll see similar updates like the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an updates Bowers & Wilkins sound system among others. All variants of the new BMW 6 Series GT as well will have a 48-volt mild-hybrid system as standard which includes an electric motor that functions as a starter and generator in a bid to increase the efficiency. It adds 11 bhp more while the braking energy is stored in the 48-volt battery pack as well. In Europe the BMW 6-Series GT will be offered with five powertrain options where the base variants will get a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines while top-of-the-line trims will get 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder petrol and diesel engine options. All powertrains will be mated to a Steptronic Sport eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard.

  • New Nissan X-Trail

    Following the success of Terrano in domestic market, Nissan is planning to bring third generation X-Trail SUV to India. Owing to dull response, Nissan had pulled the plug on the premium SUV, albeit with the new version coming in soon it will start afresh in India. The SUV will underpin the same platform as its sibling Qashqai which is reportedly also being built for the local market. The platform in talks here is 'CMF C-D'.

    Images of the BS6 compliant Mahindra TUV300 have surfaced online, and this time around, we get a closer look at the updated subcompact SUV. The TUV300 is the only vehicle in the company's line-up that is yet to make the transition to BS6 emission regulations, and, it's possible, Mahindra might launch it this year itself. The TUV300 has been more of a utilitarian sub-4 metre SUV, based on the conventional ladder-on-frame chassis, compared to the monocoque construction of the more premium Mahindra XUV300.

  • Renault K-ZE

    Renault K-ZE is essentially the production version of the Kwid EV, which was revealed at this year’s Auto Expo in February. Before making its India debut, the car was initially revealed at the 2019 Shanghai Motor Show in China. The new K-ZE is based on the Kwid’s CMF-A platform. Though the electric version is limited to the Chinese market, it is being evaluated for the other global markets like European. However, the carmaker won’t be launching the EV there any time before 2021.

  • New Mercedes-Benz S-Class

    The new-generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class has evolved and how. The new model has upped the ante not only in its opulence quotient but also with all the updated technology it packs in that exquisite cabin. The cabin itself looks an amalgamation of modern design with a pinch of retro appeal and that 12.8-inch OLED touchscreen remains the magnum opus. Then it's loaded to the brim with modern features including connected car tech and every other thing remains very S-Class like on the inside. The new S-Class has grown in dimensions and features a hybrid powertrain globally which we expect will make its way to India as well. Engine options include a 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder petrol and diesel with the EQ Boost 48-volt mild-hybrid system. The petrol engine makes about 362 bhp and 500 Nm on the S450, while the S500 comes with 429 bhp and 520 Nm. The EQ Boost' mild-hybrid system provides a burst of much as 21.6 bhp and 250Nm of torque in short intervals. The 3.0-litre diesel develops 282 bhp and 600 Nm of peak torque on the S 350d.

    The Next-Generation Audi A3 sedan has been unveiled and boy it doesn't get any better than this. Borrowing design cues from the new A6, the fourth-generation A3 looks bolder, more stylish, and, it now also comes with a host of new and smart features like connected car technology and a driver assistance system. Audi has also refined the suspension tuning to ensure an improved driving experience, and globally, the car will be available with a choice of two TFSI and one TDI engine.

  • Skoda Kushaq

While the price of the compact SUV will be revealed later in the year, we will get a glimpse of what the production version of the car will look like in March. We got to see a camouflaged version of the car but now, the company has released sketches of the car which gives us a peek into the design of the compact SUV.

  • Audi E-Tron

    The Audi e-Tron is the first electric vehicle to be introduced by the Ingolstadt-based carmaker, and the SUV made its global debut at the Geneva International Motor Show 2018. The Audi e-Tron is also on sale in several global markets, and the German automaker will be launching the electric SUV in India later this year in the second half of 2019. Ahead of its launch, Audi India has also planned to showcase the e-Tron SUV in India on June 27, 2019, making it the first electric car from a luxury carmaker reach the Indian shores.

    Nissan unveiled the 2018 Leaf facelift on September 6, 2017, in Tokyo. We expect this Nissan electric car to be introduced in India in the next couple of years and 2018 Nissan Leaf price in India could range between Rs. 35-40 Lakh. The pre-facelift Leaf was launched back in 2010 and since then, the Leaf has managed to sell more than 2.8 lakh units globally, leaving behind the likes of Toyota Prius plug-in hybrid and BMW i3.

    First showcased at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, the Tata Altroz EV is built on the all-new Agile Light Flexible Advanced (ALFA) platform and it will employ the company's Ziptron powertrain technology. While the technical specifications are yet to be revealed, Tata Motors has confirmed that all its future EVs with Ziptron technology will come with a minimum range of 250 km on a single charge, and will be equipped with a Lithium-Ion battery with IP-67 certification and 8-years warranty. At present, the company is planning to launch the Altroz EV in the first half of 2021, however, due to the coronavirus pandemic, there might be some delay.

  • New Audi Q5

    The Q5 now gets a new set of DRLs or daytime running lights. The headlamp cluster is changed therefore, and yes while a full LED cluster is standard, the matrix LEDs can be ordered as an optional extra. Using a new lighter sill insert has also enhanced the car's ground clearance. A redesigned tailgate, brand new OLED taillights (which have their own story, see below), a new diffuser and tailpipes, give the car a more athletic rear. Overall the car appears wider and bigger, even though it is not so. There are two new colours – ultra blue and the one you see here, called district green.

  • Tata HBX

    The small HBX SUV is likely to be powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol motor. It is the same motor that also powers the Altroz hatchback. The mill is capable of producing 85 bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque. We might get to see a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard and an optional 5-speed AMT unit.

The 2021 Hyundai Kona Electric facelift was unveiled recently and the model gets a comprehensive styling refresh and packs in a host of new technological upgrades to make the model more appealing. The new Kona Electric is also the more important version from an India standpoint and we expect the model to arrive in the country sometime next year.

    The 2021 MG ZS petrol SUV has been spotted testing again, and this time around, the car was caught on the camera by an enthusiast in Mumbai, Maharashtra. MG Motor India already sells the full-electric version of the compact SUV, which recently received an update for the 2021 model year, featuring some new additions, and you can read about them on the carandbike website. The company had announced at the 2020 Auto Expo that it also plans to launch the internal combustion engine (ICE) version of the SUV, and since then multiple prototypes have been spotted testing in India.

  • New Maruti Suzuki Celerio

    The upcoming, new generation Maruti Suzuki Celerio hatchback has been spotted testing in India again, and this time around, we get a clean look at its new multi-spoke alloy wheels. Now, it is possible the production model might not get the same wheels, however, these do look production-ready. In fact, the model in the photos appear to be the top-spec variant. Having said that, the test mule is still heavily camouflaged, so it is difficult to talk about the design and styling of the car. That said, the overall silhouette of the new Celerio has changed and the car appears to come with taller proportions.

    The S204 will be the Indianised version of the Ssangyong XLV and will get styling, feature and powertrain upgrades for the Indian market. Quite customarily, the test mule is heavily camouflaged but elements like the family grille, dummy headlamps and steel rims (typically seen on Mahindra test cars) give away that it's a Mahindra. Then a detailed look will help you notice design characters like the sculpting on the haunches, identical to what we have seen on the XUV300 and on the Ssangyong XLV, similar wing mirrors and the rear quarter glass. Moreover, the model looks bigger going by its silhouette. That said, just like the S204 gets a face of its own sporting the Mahindra family grille, a comparatively sleeker airdam and tight overhangs, even the rear has been revamped and the license plate area has been moved onto the tailgate. The tailgate itself is more sculpted and it also gets the shark fin antenna along with roof rails.

The test car is heavily camouflaged and not an ounce of the sheet metal is exposed, not even the wheels. However, what helped us identify the car is the silhouette of it along with the test car (red) Noida license plate where all Honda-owned cars are registered.
