    The updated Mahindra TUV300 Plus is expected to be launched in some time in early 2020, possibly after the BS6 transition takes place. Mahindra is also working on the next-generation TUV300, which was also spotted testing in India sometime back. In addition to that, 2020 will also see the launch of the new-generation Mahindra Thar off-road SUV.

    Mahindra and Mahindra has started working on the next-generation Mahindra Scorpio SUV. First introduced in 2002, India has already seen three generations of the popular Sports Utility Vehicle, and now the fourth one is on its way. The next-gen Mahindra Scorpio is expected to be introduced in 2020 and will possibly receive the highest amount of upgrades seen so far. The new-gen model will comply with both, the new stringent safety norms, as well as, the Bharat Stage VI (BS6) emission norms.

    Mahindra Atom that was shown as a concept at the Auto Expo 2020 and finally we get to see it in production-spec at the upcoming biennial show. It will use a 48 kW drivetrain and will be assembled in its Bengaluru plant from where all low voltage models are rolled out. Going by the classification of quadricycle vehicles, the Atom will have a power output of less than 15 kW and the top-speed will be limited to 70 kmph.

  • New Mahindra Thar

    Mahindra Thar will also come with an updated cabin featuring an all-black dashboard with new dials for the air-con system, new steering wheel, restyled central air-con vents, and possibly even a touchscreen infotainment system. It will also feature comfortable seats with improved side-bolstering and upholstery for the driver and co-driver, while the rear seats will get the side facing bench seats as before. The 2020 Thar will also get features like a brand-new instrument cluster with a MID (Multi-Information Display) unit, and a new gear lever. In terms of safety, the 2020 Mahindra Thar will feature front, ABS driver airbag, rear parking sensors, speed alert system and more as standard.

    The S204 will be the Indianised version of the Ssangyong XLV and will get styling, feature and powertrain upgrades for the Indian market. Quite customarily, the test mule is heavily camouflaged but elements like the family grille, dummy headlamps and steel rims (typically seen on Mahindra test cars) give away that it's a Mahindra. Then a detailed look will help you notice design characters like the sculpting on the haunches, identical to what we have seen on the XUV300 and on the Ssangyong XLV, similar wing mirrors and the rear quarter glass. Moreover, the model looks bigger going by its silhouette. That said, just like the S204 gets a face of its own sporting the Mahindra family grille, a comparatively sleeker airdam and tight overhangs, even the rear has been revamped and the license plate area has been moved onto the tailgate. The tailgate itself is more sculpted and it also gets the shark fin antenna along with roof rails.

    The Mahindra eXUV300 is the all-electric version of the carmaker’s popular subcompact SUV, the XUV300. The Mahindra eXUV300 concept made its global debut at the Auto Expo 2020, and it is set to become the company’s first electric SUV from the home-grown automaker, after the eKUV100. The XUV300 electric comes with an electric motor, powered by a Lithium-Ion battery, driving the front wheels of the SUV. The eXUV300 is based in the company’s new electric powertrain platform that will also be used by SsangYong in the European Markets.

    Mahindra is planning to bring in an electric version of the XUV300 subcompact SUV. Back then we had mentioned that the electric SUV will arrive sometime in 2020, and now, sources in the company have told us that the production version of the Mahindra XUV300 Electric will debut at the 2020 Auto Expo. Codenamed S210, the upcoming electric version of the XUV300 will be offered in two variants - standard and long-range version, offering a range of up to 200 km and 350-400 km respectively, on a single charge.
