What's New on Xiaomi YU7?
Xiaomi has received over 2.89 lakh orders for its maiden SUV, the YU7 within just an hour of prices for the EV being announced in the Chinese market. Having only forayed into the automotive world a year ago, this represents a major achievement for the electronics giant and highlights the strong demand for the new all-electric vehicle in its home market. Launched yesterday, the YU7 SUV is offered in three variants- standard, Pro and Max.
The list of features offered in the SUV includes a slim edge-to-edge display at the windscreen's base, a panoramic glass roof, twin rear seat entertainment screens, a touchscreen air-con controller for the second row and power-adjustable rear seats that recline up to 135 degrees. The YU7 also packs in an extensive host of ADAS functions backed by a web of LiDAR, 4D millimetre-wave radar, HD cameras and ultrasonic sensors. Xiaomi claims that the system can identify vehicles as far as 200 m away from the vehicle and pedestrians up to 100 m away.
The standard variant, offered with a 96.3 kWh battery (CLTC range: 835 km), features a single motor mounted on the rear axle that has 315 bhp of peak power and 528 Nm. The Pro variant meanwhile, gets a more powerful dual motor setup (489 bhp and 690 Nm) while retaining the same battery pack. The range-topping Max variant also comes with a dual-motor powertrain, although power figures are up, amounting to 681 bhp and 866 Nm. Despite being equipped with a larger 101.7 kWh battery, the Max offers the lowest range at a claimed 760 km (CLTC).
Other Upcoming Xiaomi Model is SU7
