• Genesis has unveiled its most opulent all-electric SUV, the GV 90 in India.
• The vehicle is developed from the 2024 Neolun concept, and post launch it will rival the Mercedes-Maybach EQS SUV, Bentley, and the Rolls-Royce.
• The SUV will be available in two distinct configurations: a standard version with conventional doors and the ultra-luxurious GV 90 Neolun featuring coach doors.
• Hyundai’s dedicated luxury arm is officially slated to make its market entry into India in 2027.

How is the interior of the Genesis GV 90?

• The cabin blends high-grade bespoke materials with ambient glow lighting.
• The dashboard is adorned by a pop-up OLED Cinematic Display that glides upwards when in use and retracts neatly when turned off.
• Further, the four-seat GV 90 Neolun variant incorporates an ‘Executive Suite’ layout, which features front seats that can swivel around to face rear occupants when the vehicle is stationary.
• The in-cabin entertainment needs will be fulfilled by a 25-speaker Bang & Olufsen Premier 3D sound system with Dolby Atmos.
• Additional convenience features include Hyundai Motor Group’s Pleos Connect platform, a Smart Vision Roof, a heated windscreen, and Remote Smart Parking Assist 3.

What powertrain options will be offered in the Genesis GV 90?

• The vehicle is underpinned by the dedicated eMP electric platform, the GV 90 will offer a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) layout which will produce up to 657 bhp and 770 Nm of torque.
• The powertrain draws energy from a 123.5 kWh battery pack, with a claimed range of roughly 500 km on the seven-seat model.
• Further, it also supports 350 kW DC ultra-fast charging, achieving a 10 to 80 per cent top-up in approximately 22 minutes.
• The multi-chamber air suspension and Dual Electronic Limited Slip Differentials will offer good drive quality on different road conditions.
