The Verpa SXL range is being sold in India for the past ten years. It continues to roll with its retro Italian styling with a monocoque steel body and five-spoke alloy wheel design. The SXL sport gets an additional sporty sticker job to tell it apart from the standard model. It gets an LED headlight with LED DRLs. The features on offer include a USB charging port, boot light and an adjustable rear suspension. The Vespa SXL Sports uses a link suspension in the front for that retro look.
The Vespa SXL Sport comes with two engine options. One is a 150 cc, single-cylinder engine with three-valve and fuel injection tech that produces 10.3 bhp and 10.6 Nm. The 125cc engine is good for 9.7 bhp and 9.60 Nm. The two engines are paired with a CVT gearbox as standard. The smaller capacity version gets Combined Braking System (CBS) while the bigger capacity model of the scooter gets ABS.
The Vespa SXL Sport is available in three colours - orange, blue and red. The Vespa SXL 150 Sport is an alternative to the likes of Aprilia SXR 160 and the Yamaha Aerox 155. The Vespa SXL 125 Sport is a rival to the Aprilia SXR 125, TVS NTorq 125 and the Suzuki Access 125.
The Vespa SXL Sport is priced between Rs. 1,36,601 and Rs. 1,51,554 (ex-showroom, Delhi) making it one of the most expensive scooter on sale in the country.
